Two-Factor Authentication¶

Enabling 2FA¶

1. Sign in to the Kipper portal
2. Click your profile menu and go to My Profile
3. Scroll to the Two-Factor Authentication section
4. Click Enable two-factor authentication
5. Scan the QR code with an authenticator app (Google Authenticator, Microsoft Authenticator, 1Password, Authy, etc.)
6. Enter the 6-digit code to confirm
7. Save the backup codes Kipper displays — you will not be able to see them again

Signing in with 2FA¶

Enter your email and password, then enter the 6-digit code from your authenticator app.

Using a backup code¶

If you've lost access to your authenticator app, use one of the backup codes saved during setup. Each backup code can only be used once. You can regenerate a new set of backup codes at any time from My Profile → Two-Factor Authentication → Regenerate backup codes — you'll be prompted for your current password to confirm, the same as when disabling 2FA. Contact support@kipper.com if you've lost both your authenticator and your backup codes.

Disabling 2FA¶

Go to My Profile → Two-Factor Authentication → Disable two-factor authentication and confirm with your password.
