User Access¶
Inviting a team member¶
- In the Kipper portal, go to Members in the sidebar
- Click Invite member
- Enter the member's email address
- For each connected data source, choose their permission level:
- Full Access (Read only)
- Accounts Receivable (Read only)
- Accounts Payable (Read only)
- Send the invitation
The member receives an invitation email and can accept it without needing a login to your finance system. Only the workspace admin who originally connected the data source needs those credentials.
Changing a member's permission level¶
The Members list shows each member's current role, permission level per data source, and status. Those columns are read-only — you cannot change a permission level from the Members page itself.
To adjust what a member can query, use the Permission Sets card on the relevant data source:
- Go to Data Sources in the sidebar
- Open the data source whose access you want to change
- Scroll to the Permission Sets card
- Click Manage on the target permission set and add or remove the member
See Permission Sets for the full walkthrough. Changes take effect on the next question the member asks; in-flight questions are not interrupted.
What each level covers¶
See the Permissions overview for the full breakdown of what data each level can query, or the Permission Sets page for how to manage assignments directly from a data source.
Removing access¶
To remove a member, go to Members in the sidebar, find the member, and click Remove. They will no longer be able to ask Kipper questions from any interface.
