Trial & Access

Kipper workspaces move through a small set of access states. When your workspace is in a restricted state, a red banner with a lock icon appears at the top of the app on the pages you'd normally use to change your setup. This page explains what each banner means, what still works, and what to do next.

Where the banner appears

The access banner is shown on:

  • Dashboard
  • AI Assistant
  • Interfaces and Data Sources (list and detail pages)

Every other page continues to work normally.

What each banner means

Your free trial has expired. Please contact support to upgrade.
Your trial period ended. Kipper is paused until an admin sets up a paid plan. Contact support@kipper.com to continue.
Your workspace has been suspended. Please contact support.
Access to the workspace has been temporarily blocked, usually for a billing or account matter. Contact support@kipper.com — we'll help you resolve it.
Your access to this workspace has expired. Please contact support.
A complimentary or evaluation period on the workspace has ended. Contact support@kipper.com to continue.

What still works when the banner is showing

  • Viewing your workspace, dashboard, connected data sources and interfaces, and past activity
  • Disconnecting an existing data source or interface — the disconnect actions on the dashboard and on /data-sources/[id] stay enabled, so you can always unlink a connection even when the workspace is blocked

What is paused

While the banner is showing, these actions are disabled in the app and will also be refused by the Kipper API if called directly:

  • Connect a new data source or interface
  • Reconnect an existing data source
  • Configure Subsidiary / Change (NetSuite) and any sync it would trigger
  • Restart Full Sync and Restart Regular Sync on the data source detail page
  • Clear Data for a data source
  • Sending new questions to the AI Assistant — the input and send button are disabled

Reading questions already asked, browsing chat history, and downloading anything you'd previously received still work.

Restoring access

The banner clears automatically once billing or account state is updated on our side — no action is needed inside Kipper. If you've contacted support and the banner hasn't cleared within one business day, reply to your existing support thread so we can check.
